Whether you’re a fan of Superman or just looking for something to do around town, make sure you don’t miss out on this symbolic tribute to Metropolis IL!

The first time I caught a glimpse of it, I felt a mixture of amazement and inspiration.

Easy to find I the middle of the town. A cool place to stretch on your road trip. It felt completely safe in the area. Stop off the highway for gas or maybe the dispensary and make the extra mile or so drive just to say you did. I'm not even a Superman nerd and I'm glad I made the stop. Kids of all ages would enjoy.

Museum was 8 per person. Lots to see lots to look at. Kinda sad we can't stand under super man anymore. Gift shop has lots of items. Friendly staff. Pretty far off the highway so be prepared to follow all the signs down a ways. Lots photo ops. Super man is free to park and visit.
We found this sweet town by chance. We were on our last day of a very long cross-country trip, we were tired, hungry and needed to find a restroom. As we came in to town we realized that we had found a fun and beautiful little town. We had so much fun.

We had a good time, family enjoyed themselves. Not much shade, you are in full sun, so make sure to wear hats. It was fun to see other people walking around in relevant costumes.

Took a day trip to Metropolis (how awesome is that) to check out the Super(man) museum and store. They are dog friendly so you can bring your little buddy along. Wasn't sure what expect, burnt was very surprised how much they have in there. A lot of costumes from the movies and the shows. Lots of neat background information in the museum.

Plenty of RV parking on the side streets, otherwise plenty of car parking everywhere. $8 to enter the museum person, it's more of a place where the collection is kept, lots of stuff to see. The downside is there aren't enough lights, had to use my flashlight on my cell phone quite a bit to be able to read stuff or look at things that are in cabinets, lots of dust everywhere, lots of signs that say under construction which have been there for a while that you can tell, definitely needs a facelift, a bit pricey at $8 for what you get. But if you're Superman fan, you'll enjoy it no matter what. Bring a flashlight.

Wow can I say wow! I loved Superman comics and the old TV show as a kid. This place is amazing! It is being renovated currently at a discounted admission but still plenty to see. Everything from original costumes, photos, toys and more. The owners gave us detailed information about the original wool costume. Lots of photos ops and cool souvenirs. I could have chatted for hours. Lots of good places to grab a bite nearby. Don't miss this place if you are in the area. Worth a drive for.

A Native American historical site and a great trail system. Trails snake through the woods and around the levee offering a few miles of walking / mild hiking. Grounds and trails were well maintained and easily accessible.

The museum and park are very nice. We went in the fall and it was beautiful. The park had a really nice trail and beautiful views of the river. The fort was so neat. If you go in the museum, it will teach you about the history of the Fort and park. We loved it here and will definitely be coming back for another visit.

This was a great stop over park to spend a few nights near Metropolis or Paducah. Good sized parkland and wildlife were abundant. Noise from the river but not too bad considering proximity. Price was fantastic. The RV park and camping were great with big sites and dump station. Newer comfort station.Could be better only if there was some kind of security and full hook up sites.

I only spent 2300.00 in one day. So I know that is not a lot for a casino. But would have loved to had a fork w/ my chili dog. Also would have enjoyed the ketchup and mustard I asked for. Since I told them It was to-go because I was eating in my room. Need extra work on the food court. Other than that. I had a great time

We’ve been coming here since it first opened and it’s been going down hill for a while. When we get to the room it’s always 100 degrees in it, takes hours to cool it off. There used to be a nice sitting area in the lobby it’s gone. They put these cheap and I mean cheap tables and 2 chairs like what you would see in a McDonalds. The one big plus is the customer service is still awesome! They are always very nice and professional. The sad thing is this place could be the hot spot. If they added a pool and spas etc this place works be hooping.

Went here 3 times while staying in Nashville. Takes about 2 hours to drive late at night without traffic. Nice slot machines and your typical card tables. I didn't see any bonus options with cards (specifically 3 card poker). Was told the state doesn't allow players to bet bonuses or more than one hand at a time. Overall it was a fun place. Food (onsite fast food establishment) was terrible tho. Busy in the evenings. One weird dislike is they close from 5am to 9am, or something like that thing. Rushed out of the casino to close? I did see people winning average jackpots. Also saw a guy win $10k

We went here today because I had been there before on our way home from Tennessee and loved it. Was set on going again.Although the food was fine today, the biggest disappointment was the wine menu on our table. As you can see our wine was $20 on the wine list, but on the receipt it came out $28.I called it to the waitresses attention and she’s shocked (I can’t believe I’m the first to have this happen) and she takes it back because I didn’t agree to pay $28, I agreed to $20. She comes back and tells me she is sorry but she can’t change the price. I told her that’s not right, so she takes off the $6 kids meal in exchange for the mistake. They still got $2 extra from me which was better than $8.This was going to be one of our stops to and from Illinois to Tennessee that we travel OFTEN, but not now. I could have asked for a manager and pushed the issue, but we are heading home and it just wasn’t worth it.Watch your receipts folks. And if you own a restaurant-please update everything so you don’t lose a customer.Mrs. Harpenau

The restaurant is nice and clean . I like the pizza the chicken alfredo needs more flavor. the service is good the problem here is how they cook the meet. It's not fully cooked when they bring it to the table. It continues to cook at the table. This makes a cloud of smoke throughout the restaurant that makes it very unpleasant and impossible to eat the meal.

Was very excited to try this place out but underwhelmed by the entire experience- the service for take out was perfect I will start with that. We walked in ordered and were gone in less than 25- the pricing wasn't shabby, about $30 with a tip for a lot of food.- the beef tips with potatoes - potatoes were very good, but the steak was rather bland with no seasoning.- the Buffalo mac and cheese was apparently a new menu item and while the chicken is delicious in the mac and cheese, the mac and cheese was disappointing. I didn't love how soupy it was.Overall good experience and would try again regardless of the issues.

I really enjoyed dining here. The interior is decorated pretty interestingly, lots of wood planks on the walls. I tried the pizza rolls and spin dip off the appetizer menu both were yummy, the crustinis with the dip are some how crunchy and soft! I'd eat them plain. From the entree selections I tried the pizza, brick oven and perfect 👌. The mushroom sandwich, they use several sliced shrooms versus one large cap, it's enough for two people and the roast beef sandwich has maybe more than a pound of meat! I'm not sure how they turn a profit on that beast, but it's delicious. They also offer a black stone you can order a protein and cook at your table with it. Looked really fun! I was dining with small children so I didn't try it but what a great date night idea!

Honestly, as a passing-through traveler with a baby, based on other reviews I was a bit unsure of this place. Our hotel was nearby and we were getting hungry so we thought we would give Super City a try. I was pleasantly surprised! It was, as described, a bar atmosphere, so with a 1-year-old I was a bit nervous. But, they were very welcoming and directed us right to where the high chairs were as we walked in.It wasn't super crowded at dinner hour on a Friday night, so the bartender (who was also waiting tables) allowed us to get our order in quickly. We ordered a pizza, based on reviews because of all the great recommendations. It was delicious! Thin crust and well-done and crispy. Not terribly greasy. It came out to us promptly, also. They started to get a bit busier right before our food came. We did not realize at the time, but they must do karaoke on Friday nights, and it did get a bit loud for us there for a little bit. But we finished our delicious pizza and headed out before it got too crazy. Our baby enjoyed the action! Still, everyone was nice to us and made sure we were taken care of. A great stop for a yummy pizza!

My husband and I were members for many years. He passed away, so I don't go out much anymore. Great place.

This is one of the best maintained golf courses for any small town. The course has virtually every element you would expect from a large course and the members all take pride in where they play. Definitely check it out.

Hands down the best deal on a golf membership in S. IL/W. KY area. If you have a family it’s an even better deal bc you pay the same whether you have a family if 4 or are a single member. Dues run approx $1200 for an entire year!! . Pool is very nice. No tee times needed. Just show up and play.

Course was in great shape yesterday. Only issue was they are currently redoing tee boxes, so temp tee boxes where in use. Definitely changed the course. But I'm sure it will be back to normal soon.
